Lawan is Executive Director of Christians in the Visual Arts (CIVA). She is the first Catholic to lead the organization. She lives in Madison, WI with her husband.
CIVA is an organization of artists, educators, gallery professionals, churches and art departments throughout the world called to creative work, devoted to the church, present in culture.
