Deacon Omar Gutierrez | Scout or Soldier?

This week on Living the Call, Deacon Charlie sits down with Deacon Omar Gutierrez, husband and father of four. Deacon Omar is the President and co-Founder of the Evangelium Institute, a non-profit dedicated to providing dynamic catechetical and spiritual formation to adults. 

In this episode,  Deacon Omar discusses how Catholic Social Teaching is often geared towards “doing”, but what must come first is our “being”...which is rooted in relationship with Christ Jesus. He talks about how to transition from a “Soldier” mindset with a need to win, to becoming a “Scout” who seeks truth in order to walk alongside others and bring them to Christ.
